Runa Capital Successfully Closes Fourth Fund to Accelerate Investment in deep tech, enterprise software and fintech infrastructure

Luxembourg, Oct. 9, 2024 – Runa Capital, an international venture capital firm that invests in deep tech, enterprise software and fintech infrastructure, is pleased to announce the successful closing of its fourth fund (Fund IV).

The firm, which saw an initial fund close in 2022, raised $116 million with new investors worldwide. Runa has raised over $550 million and has invested in more than 100 companies, including Nginx (acquired by F5 Networks for $700 million), Brainly, DrChrono, Lendio, Mambu, Pasqal and Zopa.

Fund IV will be used to invest in seed and early-stage startups building B2B software and deep tech products across AI/ML, open source, future of computing and fintech infrastructure. With this latest fund, Runa will expand its investment portfolio and provide the resources needed to fuel highly-promising startups towards high-growth businesses.

Runa has been actively deploying capital from Fund IV since 2022 and has invested in several high-potential and exciting startups across Europe and the US. These include the next-generation CDN Bunny, the finance infrastructure provider Sydecar and future of computing players Akhetonics and Welinq.

With the closing of Fund IV, the firm will continue its mission of empowering scrappy entrepreneurs building large scale tech-enabled businesses by being hands-on investors and long-term partners.
