Chris joined Runa Capital in 2022 as Head of Communications. He leads the firm’s global communication and marketing initiatives while also supporting Runa’s portfolio companies as they grow.

Chris was previously the strategic communications leader for several hyper-growth startups spanning professional services, marketing and electric vehicles. He also advised global enterprise technology and telecom companies on tech policy and positioning as Head of Communications for Delta Partners and as a director at PR firm Weber Shandwick.

Before working in corporate communications, he was a business journalist for more than a decade and reported from over 30 countries worldwide. At Bloomberg news, he was a southern Africa correspondent covering technology and telecoms. Later he joined Politico as a technology journalist in Brussels. He also had reporting roles in New York City and London.
