Iakov joined the team in 2024 as a Data Engineer, based in Sofia, Bulgaria. He brings extensive expertise in data mining, backend development, and data science. Iakov is dedicated to delivering actionable data insights and automating pipeline generation.

Before joining Runa, Iakov led a software development team in an IT company specializing in B2B projects, where he oversaw the development of numerous websites, mobile apps and internal BI systems. He holds a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Physics.

In his free time, Iakov enjoys hiking, snowboarding and diving.
