Open-Source Database Index

On a daily basis, we track top open-source database management systems

We have launched this dedicated index for OS databases because databases are crucial component of the modern IT infrastructure and their open-source development rapidly gains momentum. According to DB-Engines, in 2021 open-source database solutions have finally overcome their closed-source rivals by popularity.

We automatically source the full list of open-source databases from dbdb.io and calculate daily updated metrics based on Github data. Then we include only top databases with 500+ Github stars and 3+ active contributors (made commits in the repo in the last 12 months).
