Web development has significantly evolved over the past ten years. There are many frameworks and technologies that allow web developers to rapidly and effectively build websites. One of these are static site generators (SSG) and their open-source solutions. SSG open-source management systems have grown in popularity in recent years. As a result, we’ve launched a special index for open-source static site generators.

We automatically source the full list of open-source static site generators from jamstack.org and calculate daily updated metrics based on Github data. Then we include only top repos with 1000+ Github stars and 3+ active contributors (made commits in the repo in the last 12 months).
